In the early 2000s, with cremation continuing to rise, competition intensifying, the start of the Internet, and with consumer behaviour changing, I went back to university – focussing on entrepreneurial management. I dove deep into MBA-level business strategies and frameworks to help funeral homes take a strategic business approach to our ever-changing profession.
Since that time, I have helped funeral home owners who are considering expansion into new markets or online cremation, vertical integration to strengthen their value chain such as adding a crematory or floral store.
